Chihully

In November, mom non and I went the the Denver Botanic Gardens to see Chihuly.  He is a famous glass sculptor, and the gardens had a bunch of his work displayed.  It was really pretty and he is a very talented artist.
Most of all, I really enjoyed the time spent with my mama.  Her and I have such a great time together.  We're always laughing!

From the Begining

My name is Darah.  I’m a 31 old year old wife, daughter, sister, friend.
That's me, at work, working hard!

I have been married to my husband Jordan for just over six years.

Jordan and I met our freshmen year of high school.  Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for such a great best friend. We have been through many ups and downs, but I could not have chosen a better partner to do life with.  He is such an amazing man.

We have two little dogs named Bella Rose and Carter Bear.  I think they are the cutest dogs ever to walk the Earth.

I got Bella when I was 22 and living by myself.  She is such a little diva but has been a really good companion.  Carter, we got almost 5 years ago to keep Bella company while we were at work during the day.  We thought they would become great friends.  Turns out, Bella never wanted a friend.  She apparently enjoyed ruling the house all on her own.  Who knew!
Bella pouting the night we brought Carter home.
To this day, she really doesn’t want much to do with Carter.  They are complete opposites, and for Bella, I know she has a love/hate for Carter….she loves to hate him.

Jordan and I bought our house in 2010.  We live in a suburb south of Denver, Colorado.  When we purchased our home, we planned to fill it up quickly!  Nearly 5 years later, our dream of starting a family isn’t going quite as we thought it would.  Just this past September, we had our first meeting with a Reproductive Endocrinologist.  After many doctor appointments, several vials of blood drawn, a few ultra sounds, two HSGs, and one semen analysis, the Docs have come to the conclusion that I have a low ovarian reserve.  The short and sweet version of my diagnosis is that my egg count compares to a woman in her 40s.  After listening to our options, and a lot of praying, Jordan and I have decided to begin the journey of in vitro fertilization.  This was no easy decision for us and while there is no guarantee that we will get pregnant and have a baby, we would hate to look back years later and think the ole "what if".  So, we're going to give is a try.

I’m not starting this blog with intentions of it being all about our infertility struggle, more of a journal of the path that gets us into the future, a future God already has planned for us.
